Cross Shop

Identify closest competitors and potential co-tenants from customer cross-shopping behavior.

Cross Shop shows which other brands a brand’s customers also bought from. Use it to spot close competitors and, by widening the category, potential co-tenants or partners. It sits under Analytics Studio and requires The Strategist plan.

Rank brands your customers also shop

In the Analytics Studio section of the sidenav, click Cross Shop.

Set Brand, then Category (or All).

Review the table: Brand, Percent, Base, and Index. The table lists category brands also shopped by your brand’s customers.

Always read Percent against Base and Index. A widely popular brand can show a high percent without over-indexing. A smaller brand with a high Index is a stronger affinity signal—the kind of relationship that usually matters more for competitive positioning.

You can raise Minimum Percent and Minimum Base in the sidebar to hide weak rows.

Filter by geography and demographics

Use Add filter for PersonaLive Groups, Age (Ranges), Age (Generations), Income Levels, or Geography. Competitor order often changes by region or age band, so a national ranking is not always the local story.

Look beyond your category

To find co-tenant or partnership candidates, switch Category to a broader set (or All) and look for brands with both a high Percent and a strong Index. Repeat across grocery, restaurant, or other adjacency categories the same way.
