Trends
See how your brand and competitors perform over time across sales, audiences, and geography.
Trends shows how your brand and competitors perform over time across sales, audiences, and geography. It sits under Analytics Studio and requires The Strategist plan.
Open Trends
In the Analytics Studio section of the sidenav, click Trends.
Choose Multi to compare several brands, or Single to isolate one brand.
In Multi, set Categories / Brands. In Single, set Category / Brand and Breakdown (PersonaLive Groups, Age (Ranges), Age (Generations), Income Levels, or Geography).
Read the dashboard
The dashboard has four charts:
| Chart | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Share of Total Sales | Proportional share of combined sales among the selected brands |
| Year Over Year Sales | Growth compared with the same period last year |
| Avg Ticket Size | Average transaction value per purchase |
| Absolute Panel Sales | Total panel sales volume over time |
Set the range with 3M, YTD, 1Y, MAX, or Custom. Aggregate by Week, Month, Quarter, or Year.
Filter by audience and geography
In Multi, click Add filter to limit the view by PersonaLive Segments, Age (Ranges), Age (Generations), Income Levels, or Geography. Use filters when you need to see whether growth is concentrated in a cohort—for example younger shoppers or a region—rather than the overall U.S. market.
Create a custom category
If the default categories do not match how you define the market, use New custom category and add the brands you want to group. That is useful for comparing your brand against a set you control, not only a preset category.
Save a View
Name the dashboard in the header (placeholder Untitled), then click Save to store it in a Project.
